Welcome your guests and loved ones with this festive door wreath that embodies the colours of Christmas but embraces our beautiful Australian native flora.
This beautiful door wreath is based on a natural twig base and then hand-woven gum leaves with sprigs of wattle and bottle brush around the perimeter. It then features red Gum Blossoms, Waratahs, red Kangaroo Paw, gum nuts and berries all nestled into dollar eucalyptus leaves. Each wreath takes up to 6 hours to make, including cutting up each elememnt, hand-painting the Waratahs and then waeving in every element by hand.
I have a love of Native Flora, and the original motivation to start making these wreaths was as an alternative to imported plastic moulds with Holly and flora not from Australia. We wanted something that celebrated our land and we sourced the highest quality faux flora that we could find – most people think they are real when they first see them!
I package each one beautifully in a box to keep for its storage – it makes for an amazing Christmas gift for that hard-to-buy-for loved one
PLEASE NOTE, as the wreaths are handmade, they will not be EXACTLY the same as the photographed image. They cannot be exactly the same, as your wreath is handmade, JUST for YOU, it is unique and therefore one of a kind. I try my best to make your wreath very close to the original photographed and use as many of the same flowers as the photographed picture, but sometimes our stockists run out of our favourite flowers – when this happens, I will use something similar but just as beautiful.
I send each wreath, beautifully packaged in a box that you can keep for storage (if you don’t wish it on your door all the time) and use for years to come.
Each wreath is an investment in your Christmas tradition, and as they are handmade, if treated gently, they will last you for many years to come
